Early morning view from my window at the chateau.

The Pidgeonaire at Chateau Dumas. Notice the symbol of a dog on the weathervane.

Tomorrow, I leave for Chateau Dumas in Auty, France, in my persuit of lovely. This is a wonderful property, owned by my friend, Lizzie, who has restored it with great care. It is an 18th century chateau, located about 45 minutes drive from Toulouse. With 12 wonderful bedrooms, it is perfect for private group gatherings. Lizzie, who lives in London in the off season, runs the chateau herself with a handful of precious staff members that somehow manage to make you feel like you are part of their family.
